How to login to Linksys Cisco WRT120N Router console



- Connect a cable from your laptop/PC to one of the four Ethernet ports behind the router. Router can be accessed through wireless as well, but its highly recommended to connect by a cable. You can use a normal LAN called also known as Ethernet cable


- To access the router console, open your browser and type in the address bar 192.168.1.1
For this, you can use any browser, however Internet Explorer is recommended


- If everything goes well, you’ll get the router console login screen. Login with the default username and password both as admin (refer above pic), If you don't get the login wondow, read the next article

    Some Wrt120N routers with older firmware may cause problems. You will need to reset them before you can login.

    How to Setup a Linksys Range Extender... Friends, Whenever you buy linksys range extender, don't panic about its installation. It is quite simple to install the Linksys Range Extender. First, need to connect your computer with range extender using an ethernet cable. Make sure the LED lights are stable and enter router's IP address, it will appear username and password will automatically. Enter User Name Password. Go on Wireless Security section and enter your Passphrase or WEP Key then click Save Settings. At last Unplug the power cables of the router and the wireless range extender for 30 seconds. Plug in the router first. Wait for all the lights to be stable then plug in the range extender.
